- we are in an engineering course
- Engineers improve technology for greater good of people

- Bertrand Piccard's solar powered adventure-using solar airplane to go around world-new technology
- Eben Bayer-are mushrooms the new plastic-new technology to change the world
- plastics take a lot of energy to make
- do not decompose easily
- mushrooms make a glue like material
- if left in case will mold together
- decomposes easily
- just as strong as Styrofoam
- only uses energy from mushrooms
6) How could you get involved in the field/technology/issue you chose to hear about? What experience/skills/training/education would you need to learn to get involved with this field?
- i could get involved by only using organic plastics
- I don't know what I would need to learn, but Biology would seem important because I would need to know a lot about composition of mushrooms or any other plant used to make plastics
