Glider Challenge Deliverables

Design:

  • decided on basic body shape

  • did measurements of woods to make scale

  • decided how long we wanted wing span based off of how far the wins could go without bending

  • sketched a few possible ideas

Building:

  • Day one: built basic body and glued wings together

  • Day two: glued wings on body

  • Day three: rebuilt broken wings

  • Day four: rebuilt more durable wings

  • Day five: laid on tissue paper

Flight Day:

  • terrible flight time

  • 2nd distance flight after a throw off

Improvements needed:

  • stronger woings because ours broke every day of building

  • put on a nose weight after first test flight

  1. You've captured the basic iterative nature of this project with your write up which is great.

That said, this post is really "thin" on substantive content!

Do you have any photos of your solution?

Can you share any sketches you did?

Please take a look at the assignment and make sure you address the questions.
